VISUAL NAUSEA: M'sia Part 1

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
21 February - 23 February.

Confidently thought my flight was at 6, not 4, I turned up at the airport right about the same time my plane took off - tragic, really. Rebooked on a later flight and by the time I arrived, I was dead tired from all the running I had to do in the airport just to catch my flight; very tiring in my case, since running with a huge luggage was not exactly desirable. Nonetheless, if it's not obvious enough, I found out on that day that I am irresponsible. Very irresponsible, actually.

Fine dined, Mediterranean style, at a restaurant in the city. If anything, the food was everything but fine - ironically.  I guess it was only me who had a problem with the food because everyone else seemed neutral about everything.

This is where I half died.. while in Shah Alam. We drove out of the city down to Shah Alam to view the night lights and everything was awe-inspiring with the loud music blasting in the background and a plethora of rides around. If I was back home, I would be in the city shopping or most probably having tea with my friends - and I thought that was fun until I visited this place. Lol.

Endured another half an hour in the car drive back to the city where we drove around Chinatown, Little India and the new CBD area of Kuala Lumpur. Everywhere was empty which is not something I expected for since it was a Friday night.. and there's socializing to be done. But, no. Empty, dead empty. My camera died and anyway it was too dark to take pictures of the empty street, not like there's anything to see anyway.

Checked in at the hotel where I blissfully died - almost, in the comfort of the bed. For a rough estimation as to how tired I was, I almost fell asleep with only a duvet on me. Not forgetting the fact that I forgot to remove my contact lens - and shower.

Visual nausea from the first day I was in Malaysia; while back home, preparations for the upcoming exams were going on. Crazy, you might think. But anyway, the short getaway was what I, or anyone, would have needed in the midst of all the stress. In other news, my first day in Malaysia was anything but interesting and that's where I blame it all on my incompetency on cross checking as to what time my flight is. Cheers, to that.

sunset hues

Spending my Sunday at a park nearby my house, which even shopping can't beat. My family loves road tripping but there's honestly nothing to see in Singapore except for perhaps, shopping malls. And more of it.

Pinch and a punch for September. Might be too early to say this but I feel like it's going to be a good month ahead, even with the abundance of assessments to be done - ugh. First day of the month was spent on an island in the south for a celebration which wasn't so much fun, I suppose. Could have been better if I wasn't feeling so nauseous from the yacht (cum rollercoaster) ride.

My lack of update across several networking platforms such as Twitter and Blogger can all be blamed at school, as always. My previous blog posts has been my constant complaining of school ad nauseam which just proves how much time of mine is spent being a complete Asian: stressing about school all the time.

National day, a holiday, was spent running around the city while trying to battle the 32 degrees heat just to catch my appointments. The idea of all black seemed appealing - until I came to a realization, while stuck in the middle of a traffic jam in a cab, that black's a good absorber heat. Of course, physics.

So desperate for the holidays to come because school life has been suck-ish. There's a plethora of tests I have to sit for in the coming weeks, in preparation for the exams and it's tiring because I always have close to no time for myself since I usually spend the whole day revising my work. Lol no, I end up procrastinating and go on Tumblr instead.

Last week, I looked through my wishlist from the beginning of the year and I realized that I didn't have any goal on gaining weight so I added that in. Big problem is that I lose weight faster than I gain which is really upsetting me since I'm always stuck between the mass of 40-45kg. My friends made a joke about how I'm weird for wanting to gain weight when there are people dying to lose but it's not my fault that I would rather be large sized.

I'm in the midst of studying geography for a test tomorrow and I'm going to get back to it so here's photos I took from awhile back at the park. The weather was cloudy on that day and it felt like the perfect occasion to wear my leather jacket out until I started to sweat buckets after a few minutes of strolling around the park. I have so much clothes suitable for cold weather, which is surely crazy because it never ever gets cold here in Singapore.

Went out to the city with my little brother today to shop for my clothes but we ended up looking at clothes for him instead. I don't know what's worse than getting to know that the clothes at the children's section fit me perfectly than the ones for my age. The next time I go shopping, first place I'm probably going to is the children's section, l o l.

On Thursday, my chemistry class had an experiment in the chemistry lab. We were told to mix calcium hydroxide with some other chemical and I know this seems pretty impossible but even though the calcium hydroxide was in the test tube with a very narrow opening, I managed to get some on my face. I started to panic because I thought I would have to strip and get into the emergency shower which was directly visible to the class. Turns out the chemical was diluted and that the panicking was totally unnecessary.

ghastly

Other than the fact that I have detention for 6 days for skipping the secondary 3 camp, school hasn't been that bad.. yet. It's too early to say now because it's been only one week since the start of the new school term. This term's very short which ultimately means that the examinations are near.
  1. A park my family and I came across while on family day.
  2. A leaf managed to find it's way into my house.
  3. Editing photos on my little brother's iPad.
  4. Unwrapped the gifts that came with my DSLR and I found this book.
  5. Surprise!

Short summary to what I've been up to for the past week. I haven't been leaving the house that much, so I guess this would suffice until the next blog post. It's Youth Day in Singapore so happy youth day if you're a youth!
